Friendzone, Overlooking the Ganges in Kolkata

“Can we freeze our friendship in time?” asked Aparna.

Ashim looked at her with questions in his eyes. “What do you mean?” he let out the question that was in everybody’s mind.

“What I mean is that if we can stay together in an apartment complex for the rest of our lives,” clarified Aparna.

“Then we can meet daily, share our joys and pains, and remain best friends forever.”

They thought about it. Everybody thought it would be an awesome idea.

Four friends — Ashim, Sanjoy, Sekhar, and Hari — went on a trip together in North Bengal and stayed in a resort near the Murti River.

At that resort, they met with a group of college girls and got friendly with 3 of them — Aparna, Shimul, and Champa.

All this was a long time ago.

Love blossomed and they were considering marriage.

Ashim fell for Aparna, Hari for Shimul, and Sanjoy for Champa. Sekhar was hell-bent on remaining a bachelor all his life.

However, life doesn’t proceed in a straight line, and in a few years, the 4 friends went on to live in different places, compelled by their different professions.

Ashim settled in a tea garden in Darjeeling, Hari in Mumbai, and Sanjoy became a professor at a US university. Only Sekhar remained in Kolkata as a cricket coach.

So, Aparna’s idea did not materialize. They could not stay together.

Well, not until now when they sort of made up for it.

Let’s get to the present and know what happened over these years.

The Call of Kolkata

Life always has a different plan for your future and it was true of the 4 friends.

Their professions took them to different cities but their friendship remained unbroken.

They always kept in touch. Wrote letters, and called each other occasionally.

Now it is even easier to remain in touch.

We have social media and WhatsApp groups.

One of these days, Aparna suggested a way to revive their old plan.

“How about buying an apartment in Kolkata where we can all return whenever we find time and spend a few days together?”

They are well off now and everybody can afford to buy a second home in Kolkata.

Except Sekhar.

He died a few years ago.

All happily agreed.

They started searching for various property projects in Kolkata but they found out that one particular project was like no other.

A unique project in itself, it rekindled their memories of time spent beside a river in North Bengal a long time back.

This is a riverfront luxury real estate project on the bank of the Ganges in Kolkata.

Every apartment is river-facing with high-end luxury amenities all around.

3 Friends Arrived with Their Wives

So this was the early days of the pleasant Kolkata winter when Ashim, Sanjoy, and Hari arrived in Kolkata along with their wives.

It was a Saturday and the very next day, they showed up at the project together.

As they entered the project site, they were mesmerized by the massive experience centre overlooking the Ganges.

The experience centre gives a good idea of the grand scale of the project — 39 lakh sq. ft. of development consisting of ultra-luxury bungalows, modern villaments, and sky-kissing towers.

Every apartment will be river-facing.

The plot has a frontage of over 1 km beside the Ganges, and over 60 bungalows, 150 villaments, and 22 towers directly facing the river — are taking shape right now.

The 1 km riverside private track will facilitate daily walking, jogging, yoga, cycling, and picnics. You can also while away your time watching boats and ships pass by.

High-Quality Lifestyle

Living in The Royal Ganges is almost pollution-free. This is a benefit you cannot get anywhere else in Kolkata.

The Royal Ganges is a lifestyle project suitable for connoisseurs of good life.

The 3 friends and their wives loved every bit of it as they explored the concept of the project.

It will have future-ready amenities that will touch every sensibility of the discerning residents.

From a football ground to a tennis court, cricket simulators to badminton courts, an amphitheatre to rock climbing walls, restaurants, ATMs, medicine stores, salons, wine stores, and bars will contribute to the high-life quotient at The Royal Ganges.

An amazing Ganga view deck and a landscaped lawn will merge with the river.

The Cherry on the Cake

The Royal Ganges offers an unobstructed view of the Ganges from every apartment.

The apartments are full of natural light and very airy.

Moreover, the verandas are wide and spacious. You can spend hours in adda sessions with your friends, and all the time the Ganges is in front of you.

(All the friends liked it very much).

You can experience all these as you set foot in the project and check out the model flats,
